College pays visit to Yellow Dreams in Ittervoort
Yesterday, Mayor Schmalschläger, Aldermen Houben, Van Helden and Graef as well as City Secretary Geraedts visited Yellow Dreams in Ittervoort.

Yellow Dreams B.V. is a start-up based in Ittervoort as of Jan. 1, 2025. The company is installing a production line to recycle plastic from Used Beverage Cartons (UBCs). In the Netherlands, UBCs are usually collected with PMD (plastic metal beverage cartons), after which the UBCs are delivered to paper mills. These remove the paper fiber to make packaging or hygiene paper, for example. The plastic fraction that remains is baled and delivered to Yellow Dreams as raw material. Yellow Dreams processes this material into granules with which new products can be made, for example with injection molding.
Yellow Dreams is still in the start-up phase. The college had an open conversation with entrepreneur Bas Gehlen, former director of Van Houtum / WEPA Netherlands, about opportunities and challenges for a start-up company, and especially in plastic recycling.
