Special transport

What is it?

If the cargo you want to transport is so large that transporting it falls outside the legal dimensions and weights, we call it special transport.

You may not just transport this. For special transportation, you need a waiver.

How does it work?

You can apply for the waiver if:

  • the transport is outside the legal transport requirements
  • no alternatives are possible (e.g., transportation in parts)
  • you load and unload within the municipality

How long does it take?

You will be notified within 10 business days whether you will receive the waiver.

What to do.

Apply for the waiver at the RDW. Please provide the following information with your application:
