'Circular business in practice' meeting
A little more conscious again....!
Yesterday, the Entrepreneurial team of the Municipality of Leudal together with Keyport organized the meeting 'Circular entrepreneurship in practice'. Host was Vestjens Stroverwerking BV in Haelen.

Led by Margot Visschers and Rowie Pape, both working for Route Circular, attendees were briefed on:
- So what is circularity?
- What does circular business look like in practice?
- As an entrepreneur, how can you take advantage of this?
- What are the common revenue models?
Jean Vestjens and Filipe Duijf then took attendees into the world of straw. They showed how they work on developing various innovative products, responding to diverse circumstances and tapping into new markets to create the right sales. Nice to see the enthusiasm and perseverance of both gentlemen.
Although many entrepreneurs are still in their infancy as far as circularity is concerned, for others it is already more on the agenda. But often it still stalls in finding the right partners in the chain to turn the idea into a worthy business model.
With the workshop, we hope to make a small contribution in raising awareness to start thinking circularly and seek cooperation. The networking drinks afterwards provided the first opportunity for that.
Thanks to Renske Cox, Keyport project manager, Paul Rous for photography and Peter Hendrix for providing.
