What does it cost?

A proof of Dutch citizenship costs €9.50 at the counter. If you apply for this product digitally via this website, it costs €5.00.

Apply at the town hall

You can also apply for the proof of Dutch citizenship at the counter. To apply, you must bring a valid proof of identity (passport, driver's license or identity card) and a Make an appointment appointment.

Authorization

If you authorize someone, the application must meet the Requirements below:

• Authorized representative must be of age.
• A letter of consent authorization and reason for request.
• This letter must be signed by both.
• Valid ID of you and authorized representative.

You choose an available date and time. You will receive confirmation of the appointment by e-mail. As an extra service, we will send you a reminder of the appointment by SMS 24 hours in advance.

• You request the certificate from the municipality where you are registered.

Create a letter with the following information:

• Why you need the proof of Dutch citizenship
• Who the authorized representative is (this person must be of age)
• your signature
• the signature of the authorized person

The agent takes this letter to the congregation along with:

• A copy of your valid ID; 
• his or her own ID.
