Waste tax
What is it?
You contribute to the collection and processing of household waste. You will receive an assessment for this. You are obliged to pay this waste collection levy even if you never take your waste with you.
What does it cost?
| Size gray container | Fixed amount (2025) | Amount per offer (2025) |
|---|---|---|
| 40 liter insert container (in 140 liter container) | € 107,60 | € 3,10 |
| 60 liter insert container (in 140 liter container) | € 107,60 | € 4,65 |
| 80 liter insert container (in 140 liter container) | € 107,60 | € 6,20 |
| 140 liter container | € 137,60 | € 10,90 |
| 240 liter container | € 167,60 | € 18,70 |
| 60 liter throw-in underground container | € 107,60 | € 4,65 |
The city council has set these rates. BsGW charges the waste disposal fee annually. Your levy then consists of the fixed amount (of the current tax year) plus the cost of all the times you have taken the gray container to the street (in the past year).
Through the AfvalWijzer you can see how often you have taken the gray residual waste container to the street or how often you have made a throw-in in the underground container.
