Special assistance is compensation for extra costs that you cannot pay yourself. For example, you have monthly costs for guardianship or you have to pay a contribution for a lawyer. The municipality determines whether you will receive special assistance. The municipality looks at your individual circumstances and financial situation.
You will not receive special assistance if you have sufficient income or savings. This is because income limits and asset limits apply.
The rules for yourself (and your partner, if any):
- You live in the municipality of Leudal.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You are a Dutch citizen. Or you have a valid residence permit.
Special assistance is not limited to people on Social assistance benefit benefits. However, it does involve people with low incomes (no more than 130% social assistance standard). Special assistance is subject to a number of Requirements:
- The cost is necessary.
- The expenses have a special or urgent reason. For example, you suddenly need a lawyer.
- The cost is unexpected, so you couldn't save for it.
- You will incur the costs in the Netherlands.
- The costs are not reimbursed by another party, such as your health insurance company.
Do you live together with a partner or spouse? Then you apply for special assistance together. You must then both fill in your details with the application.

Attachments
To fully submit the application, you are required to upload several attachments. Health make sure you have these documents ready digitally so you can easily upload them during the application process.
Tip: Health that you give the files a recognizable name such as "payslip," "ID Map" or "benefit summary.

PS: If you are an authorized representative (for example, administrator or business manager) and want to submit this claim on behalf of your client, you cannot use this form. This form does not yet support the use of DigiD authorization.
